The City of Saint John brings back its Flash Ice Sale this November. You can secure discounted ice time at three local arenas between November 12 and November 24, 2026.

The Flash Ice program provides access to surplus arena times that went unbooked during the seasonal allocation process. This creates an affordable opportunity for skaters, families, teams, and community groups to enjoy local facilities.

Available Arenas and Rates

You can book available slots at Charles Gorman Arena, Peter Murray Arena, and Stewart Hurley Arena. The City processes all reservations on a first-come, first-served basis. The hourly rates, excluding HST, are:

• Youth Not-for-Profit Groups: $83.32
• Adult Not-for-Profit Groups: $145.76
• For-Profit/Commercial Events: $189.37

Tournaments and fundraisers do not qualify for these discounted rates.

How to Secure Your Spot

You must submit your booking request by Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 4 p.m. All rentals require one-hour increments and proof of insurance. If your group lacks insurance, the City offers coverage through its designated provider for a small fee. Youth bookings organized outside of official groups require parental supervision to qualify for this insurance coverage.
