The Saint John Police have released the results from their recent “Operation Safe Streets,” a targeted initiative aimed at enhancing public safety in Waterloo Village and the uptown area. The operation, which involved dedicated foot, bike, and vehicle patrols over three separate days in November, led to five arrests and the issuance of multiple tickets and warnings.
According to a media release from the police force, the goal of the operation is to increase police presence, proactively disrupt criminal activity, and restore a sense of security for residents and business owners.

November Operation Results
Officers focused their efforts on community engagement and enforcement. During the November patrols, police conducted 21 foot patrols and visited 24 local businesses to connect with the community.
The enforcement actions included:

- Three open drug encounters
- Eight motor vehicle tickets issued
- Six warnings issued
The Saint John Police confirmed that its Quick Reaction Team (QRT) will continue these proactive patrols to maintain visibility and respond to community needs in the specified areas.
