Summer in Saint John brings live music back to the waterfront. The Area 506 Festival returns for its 11th year in 2026. Organizers expanded the event to four nights. You can catch your favorite bands from July 30 to August 2 at the Waterfront Container Village.
The 2026 Area 506 Lineup
Thursday kicks off with The Dead South and Kathleen Edwards. Local favorites The Martin Boys, Kylie Fox and Zack Ingles round out the opening night.
Friday brings a wave of nostalgia. Soul Asylum, Crash Test Dummies and Marcy Playground take the stage. Grand Theft Bus, La Patente and Waylon Napadogan also perform.
Saturday features Marianas Trench, Wheatus, Valley. Absolute Losers, Penny and The Pits, Beauts and Constant Greetings complete the Saturday roster.
Sunday closes the festival with The Glorious Sons, Wolf Parade and The Dirty Nil. Caged Animals, Customer Service, Dad Patrol and Nate and the Busy Boys will also play.

What to Expect at the Waterfront Container Village
The festival takes place at 85 Water Street next to the Pugsley Terminal. The paved site offers an accessible experience for all attendees.
You can bring the whole family. General admission welcomes all ages. Children 12 and under enter for free when accompanied by an adult.
If you want an upgraded experience, VIP tickets offer preferred viewing areas, dedicated washrooms with touchless sinks and a private bar. You must be 19 or older to enter the VIP section.
The entire festival grounds operate as a smoke free environment.
Harvest Music Festival Also Announces Lineup
Music fans looking to travel up the river this September have another major event to anticipate. The Harvest Music Festival in Fredericton released its 2026 roster.
The six day event features over 400 musicians across downtown Fredericton. Headliners include Barenaked Ladies, The Beaches, Blackberry Smoke, Drive By Truckers, Graham Nash, Sloan and Young the Giant.
