Drive Safely in Shared Spaces

You need to drive slowly and use caution on park roads and in parking lots. Saint John Police are running targeted traffic campaigns in and around city parks. These areas are shared with children, strollers, bicycles, people using mobility aids, and pets. Keep your eyes open and your speed down. If you plan to camp or park overnight, you must use designated campgrounds.

Keep Beaches and Parks Clean and Safe

All city beaches close at dusk. While you enjoy the water and sand, keep your dogs on a leash at all times.

New Brunswick’s Smoke Free Places Act bans smoking and vaping on any beach, playground, or sports area. You must also stay at least 20 metres away from these spaces if you choose to smoke.

Help keep Saint John beautiful by throwing your trash in the proper bins. Littering damages the environment and ruins the experience for others.

If you want to cook outside, head to Dominion Park or Rockwood Park. Both locations provide designated spaces where you can safely use charcoal barbecues.
