Nova Scotia Sees Bigger Jumps

Drivers crossing the border into Nova Scotia face even steeper hikes. Regular self serve gasoline increased by 6.5 cents in the Halifax area, bringing the minimum price to 177.0 cents per litre. Cape Breton motorists are paying slightly more at 178.9 cents per litre.

Diesel drivers in Nova Scotia took a heavier hit. Prices jumped by 9.3 cents, setting the new minimum price at 229.3 cents per litre in Halifax and 231.3 cents per litre in Cape Breton.

The Nova Scotia Energy Board stated it changed prices due to “significant shifts” in the market.

Prince Edward Island Holds Steady

Prince Edward Island avoided the overnight increases. The price of regular self serve gasoline remains unchanged since last Friday at a minimum of 180.4 cents per litre. Diesel also holds steady at a minimum of 228.7 cents per litre.
