Officers responded to a call around 6:25 p.m. about a man walking into a wooded area near Michael Crescent carrying a long gun. The caller reported hearing shots fired shortly after.

When police arrived at the scene, they searched the area and found a man matching the suspect description hiding inside a nearby shed. Officers arrested him without further incident.

According to a news release from the Saint John Police Force, investigators found the weapon on site. “A firearm and ammunition were also located inside the shed and seized by police,” the release stated.
