Emergency Crews Respond to Taylor Avenue
Shortly before 10:00 p.m., the Saint John Fire Department Communication Centre received multiple 911 calls reporting a house fire in the Taylor Avenue area. Ladder 5, carrying four firefighters from the Adelaide Street station, arrived first on the scene. Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy smoke and visible flames coming from inside a multi-unit home.

Second Alarm Struck
Due to the intensity of the situation, Incident Command struck a second alarm. This escalation brought a total of five crews to the scene. Firefighters worked quickly to advance hoselines inside for a direct fire attack. Simultaneously, teams searched the homes to safely evacuate all residents and conducted ventilation and overhaul operations to ensure the fire did not spread further.
