A mobile home on Saint John’s East Side suffered significant damage in a fire Monday afternoon, but thankfully, no one was injured.
Crews were called to the Norris Road area around noon. According to a social media post from the Saint John Firefighters IAFF Local 771, the first unit on the scene found the home filled with heavy smoke and fire.
The Emergency Response
Engine 2, arriving from the Loch Lomond Road station, was the first to reach the fire. Its four-person crew immediately began an interior attack, advancing a hoseline inside the structure to fight the flames.
As additional crews arrived, they worked to establish a steady water supply, search the home to ensure no one was trapped inside, and ventilate the building to clear out dangerous heat and smoke.

The firefighters confirmed that there were no injuries to any civilians or emergency responders. The coordinated effort involved multiple units, including Engine 2, Rescue 4, Ladder-Tower 1, and Engine 1.
