Restoring a Community Landmark
This funding kicks off Phase One of the St. Peter’s Ballfield Project. The initiative restores the historic and decommissioned ballfield located in the heart of the Old North End. The Friends of St. Peter’s and the City of Saint John are partnering to rebuild this community space. The completed field provides new recreational opportunities for youth, families, and neighborhood residents.
Community Celebration
Residents celebrated the announcement during a watch party at the Market Square Atrium on Sunday, June 7. A large crowd of fans gathered to watch the SportsNet Blue Jays Central broadcast and cheer on the project. The network broadcasted clips from the Saint John event on June 8.
