The Saint John Firefighters are officially sponsoring the Saint John Senior A Flames for their inaugural season in the Beauséjour Senior Hockey League.
The local firefighters union announced the partnership to show their support for local sports and the Saint John community. This collaboration brings together first responders and athletes as the Flames hit the ice for their first year.
A Strong Family Connection
The sponsorship features a direct tie to the fire department. Saint John Flames player Drew Johnston is the son of current Saint John firefighter Captain Steve Johnston. Drew recently met with union Vice Presidents Britt and Welsh to discuss the upcoming season. He shared his excitement about the games ahead and the memories the team builds this year.
Union President Tyler Embree credited Nathan Belliveau for his shared vision in making this collaboration happen.
