A 25-year-old Saint John man is in custody facing a long list of charges after police responded to a domestic violence call on the city’s west side. The arrest led to the seizure of a loaded handgun and cocaine with an estimated street value of $13,900.
According to a media release from the Saint John Police Force, officers responded to a 911 call on Harrington Street around 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. A 26-year-old woman reported that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend.
Quick Arrest Leads to Major Seizure
Police began searching the area immediately. Just 15 minutes later, at 10:00 p.m., patrol members stopped a vehicle on the lower west side and located the suspect. He was arrested without incident.
During the arrest, police discovered and seized several items from the vehicle, including:
- Two baggies of cocaine, valued at approximately $13,900
- A loaded Beretta handgun
- Scales

The suspect was held in custody and appeared in court on October 16, 2025. He was remanded until his next court appearance on October 30, 2025.
