Planning a weekend night out in uptown Saint John? Finding a parking spot just got easier and cheaper. The City of Saint John announced free overnight parking for the designated Entertainment District on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

The new parking rules run from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and will stay in place until October 31, 2026.

The city defines the Entertainment District as the area bounded by Water Street and Charlotte Street, stretching from King Street down to Duke Street.
Street Parking and Lots
If you park your vehicle on the street within this district, parking remains completely free every night from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Standard daytime parking rates and rules apply from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
If you prefer a parking lot, all city operated lots offer free overnight parking from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on the designated nights. Take note that this excludes the Market Square and Peel Plaza parking garages.
