The Saint John Police Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) has arrested two men in connection with a drug trafficking investigation, seizing cocaine and cash with an estimated street value of $12,400. The arrests are part of an ongoing effort to address drug-related crime in the city.
According to a media release from the Saint John Police, the operation took place on Monday, March 25, 2026. Around noon, officers arrested a 56-year-old man and a 54-year-old man from a vehicle without any issues.
Details of the Seizure
Following the arrests, police conducted searches of the two men, their vehicle, and a residence on Queen Street. The searches uncovered a significant amount of evidence. Police seized several items, including:
- 123 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine
- 1 gram of a substance believed to be crack cocaine
- $3,108 in Canadian currency
- A baton and several knives
- Two boxes of shotgun ammunition
- A cell phone, digital scales, and electronic money counters

Both men now face serious charges. The 54-year-old man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000. He was released and is scheduled to appear in provincial court on May 28, 2026.
