Uptown Routes Return to Normal
If you use Saint John Transit to get around uptown, prepare for a return to familiar routes. Starting Monday, October 20, 2025, regular bus stops and services in the uptown core will be fully reinstated. This change means the temporary bus stops located on Water Street and King Street East will permanently close.

What’s Changing for Riders?
According to the official announcement from the City of Saint John, you can expect several key updates to your daily commute. Here is a breakdown of what you need to know:
Reopening Stops
- Stops at Kings Square North and on King Street will reopen.
- The stop at the bottom of King Street near City Hall will resume service.
New Stop Location
- A new bus stop is now located on Kings Square South, directly in front of the Admiral Beatty building.
Route Transfer Points
- North & West bound buses (Routes 1W, 3N, 9N, 15W, 20, 21, 23, 33, 35 & 52) will now stop and transfer passengers at Kings Square North.
- South & East bound buses (Routes 1E, 3E, 9E, 15s, 23) will use the stop located across from City Hall for stops and transfers.
