If you regularly park in uptown Saint John, you need to adjust your plans this weekend. The City of Saint John and Saint John Parking announced temporary access changes at the Sydney Street Parking Lot and the Peters Street Lot due to scheduled maintenance.

Sydney Street Lot Closure
On Sunday, May 3, 2026, crews close the Sydney Street parking lot to all entry and exit traffic. This closure allows workers to safely remove the entrance booth.
Peters Street Lot Interruptions
Public Works crews will also temporarily close the upper portion of the Peters Street Lot to grade the laneway. You will not have access to the upper section while this work happens.
On Monday, May 4, 2026, paving work begins in the affected area. Flaggers will direct traffic and help you enter and exit the lot. Expect temporary delays if you park here on Monday morning.
