Air travelers have new flight options leaving the Saint John Airport. Porter Airlines returns to the city through a partnership with Pascan Aviation. Beginning June 15, you book flights connecting Saint John to the new Montreal Metropolitan Airport.

New Flight Schedules and Destinations
Pascan Aviation flights depart New Brunswick at 6:55 a.m. daily. A second flight leaves at 2 p.m. during weekdays. These flights take you directly to the Montreal Metropolitan Airport. From Montreal, you catch same day connections through the national network of Porter Airlines. Available destinations include Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver.
Saint John Airport president and CEO Court Edeburn says the new options let you leave Saint John in the morning and arrive in Vancouver by lunchtime.
It is going to be just huge for us here in Saint John,
Edeburn says in a recent interview with CTV News. You check in your bag here, you fly Pascan to the MET airport, you take 45 minutes to connect to Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Billy Bishop or Toronto Pearson and you are on your way. It is a seamless process start to finish.
Meeting Local Travel Demand
Travelers in the community want more competition, better flight times, and sensible prices. Edeburn notes current flights leaving the airport operate at or near full capacity.
The economy in Saint John and the area is booming, and to satisfy that demand airlines need to add more flights,
Edeburn says. We are seeing that happen, and that is in spite of all of the geopolitical issues that are happening.

The Montreal Metropolitan Airport Advantage
The opening of the Montreal Metropolitan Airport creates more flight options for regional hubs like Saint John. Andrew Pierce serves as the vice president of network planning and reporting for Porter Airlines. He says the airline added flights in Charlottetown, Halifax, and Moncton to take Maritimers directly to the new Montreal terminal.
We could not be more excited than we are for opening a design from scratch terminal in Montreal in the Montreal Metropolitan Airport,
Pierce says. Part of that is our own rapid growth into a dozen destinations in the first month, and the other part of it is, of course, our growing partnership with Pascan Aviation and their Saab 340 service to destinations both in Atlantic Canada and in the province of Quebec.
Pierce states the new airport offers travelers easier access to the heart of Montreal. He also notes these additional flights arrive just in time for the busy summer travel season.
Domestic wins in the summer,
Pierce says. What we see in the advanced bookings for this summer just further accentuates that the demand across Canada is going to be robust in 2026.
