Score a Deal on Local Ice Time This December

If you’re looking to book some ice time for your hockey team, skating club, or a private event, you’re in luck. The City of Saint John has announced a Flash Ice Sale, offering significant discounts on remaining ice slots at local arenas from December 10 to December 23.

This sale provides a great opportunity for community groups and individuals to enjoy local facilities at a reduced cost before the holidays. According to the official announcement on the City’s website, the slots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Pricing and Booking Details

The discounted rates vary depending on the type of group booking the time. All prices are per hour, plus HST.

Discounted Hourly Rates

• Youth Not-for-Profit Groups: $80.89
• Adult Not-for-Profit Groups: $141.57
• For-Profit or Commercial Events: $183.85

Keep in mind that tournaments and fundraisers are not eligible for these special rates.

How to Book

All bookings must be secured before the deadline on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. To book, you need to contact the City’s Sports Liaison, Darrell Fountain, by email. The city notes that slots cannot be held and are booked as requests come in.

You must also have the required insurance coverage before your booking is confirmed. If your group does not have coverage, the City can help arrange it through its provider for a nominal fee.
