These plows have a massive job. Each winter the City of Saint John services 1,160 lane kilometres of road. That distance is longer than the drive from Saint John to Ottawa. Crews also clear 225 kilometres of sidewalk. Snow clearing, sanding, salting, and brine application remain essential parts of ensuring reliable transportation throughout the season.
