Voter Turnout Increases
Early numbers show a significant increase in voter engagement compared to previous years. During the first day of advance polls in 2022, almost 29,000 people voted. This year, that number jumped to nearly 35,000.
“That is in addition to over 12,000 votes cast during early voting at the 18 returning offices,” Elections NB Spokesperson Paul Harpelle told Your Saint John.
