Hi Frank, that’s a good point, you’re right that the image is unreadable. I pulled this image from the city’s official post but I’ve gone ahead now and found a better image along with more details from the city council meeting agenda. You can see it here and understand much more clearly what’s going with the meeting notes here: https://saintjohndaily.ca/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Council-Agenda-Road-Closure.pdf

Maybe a more descriptive display, the blueprint is almost unreadable to me.

I would like to suggest that the City of Saint John not attempt to use their limited knowledge in the use of municipal well systems as they did with the west side fiasco but that they enlist the expertise of municipalities who have been successfully operating ground wayter systems for decades such as Charlottetown, PEI-Miramachi, NB and Fredericton, NB. It would definetly be to the city’s advantage to enlist these experts to augment their water supply so that they have sufficient water supply for these droughts conditions. Ron Bennett, P. Tech

I believe, especially during the drought conditions, the City should ban such things as watering lawns. I also believe that there should be fines for doing so. Last summer I heard about droughts in various areas of NB. I may have misunderstood, but I thought Saint John was included, so I stopped watering my lawn. However I was the only one on our street who didn’t have a beautiful green lawn , so I may have been wrong.

Accept foreign students, and Non NB resident students, with requirements to pay full fee for education trade certification , no work permit allowed while student status, a second choice is student commits to work in NB after completion of studies/certification for fixed period (Like 10 years) with option to have support from province for temporary residency during the post educational provincial employment commitment, the candidate can of course buy out this commitment or a different out of province employer could pay for the remaing time candidate may have as an outstanding commitment.

Program review and restructuring are very similar if not full on redundant. Cost recovery for serviceis not really a service it is more fee for service (if the service is optional) , if the service is mandatory ( like licences, permits) it is no longer a fee for service it is a tax! Highway tolls is an excellent initiative, however tge outcome will either be an increase in the customer price of transported goods or increase in personal travel costs, through traffic on NB roads should certianly expect to pay or at least contribute to provincial highway costs, if we tax highways build with federal funds then we are trying to doubl dip? Regarding budgeting, reality says if their isnt enough money to operate a service or regulate a law then cut the service or look at how to increase income through selling more product ( government that is sellinig a service). Asking a chicken to produce mote eggs is false economy, buying more chickens produces more eggs?
